閘閥的應(yīng)用工況和操作

1. 閘閥通常應(yīng)用于開啟-關(guān)閉場合，不能用于節(jié)流應(yīng)用。
Gate valves are normally used for on-off service and are not recommended for throttling service.

2. 閘閥通常安裝在水平管道上，閥桿垂直向上。也可以安裝在垂直管道或者閥桿不是垂直向上的水平管道上，但是根據(jù)閥門的通徑大小、應(yīng)用環(huán)境和材料的具體情況，可能要求特殊的結(jié)構(gòu)。如果購買的閥門準備采用特殊的安裝方式，則在訂購時，應(yīng)該說明閥門的朝向。
Gate valve are normally installed in horizontal pipe runs with the stem vertical. They can also be installed in vertical or horizontal pipe runs with the stem other than vertical, but may require special construction depending on valve size, service conditions and materials. WHEN PURCHASING VALVES FOR OTHER THAN NORMAL INSTALLATION, THE VALVE ORIENTATION SHOULD BE SPECIFIED.

3. 對于溫度超過260℃的應(yīng)用環(huán)境，建議采用柔性或拼合式楔形閘板，避免楔形閘板由于熱膨脹而被卡住。這種情況在閥門冷關(guān)閉而后熱開啟狀態(tài)下可能發(fā)生。
Flexible or split wedges are recommended for service above 500 ℉ to avoid wedge binding due to thermal expansion. This may occur if the valve is closed when cold, and then heated to operating temperature.

4. 當(dāng)用于高速流體(湍流)或熱循環(huán)應(yīng)用時，為了避免松開，螺紋閥座環(huán)應(yīng)該鎖焊在閥體上。請在訂購時加以指定說明。
Threaded seat rings should be lock welded to the body when used in high velocity (turbulent) or thermal cycling services to avoid loosening. Please specify.

5. 關(guān)閉閘閥后，閥桿應(yīng)該稍微回轉(zhuǎn)(1/8至1/4圈)，以釋放閥桿負載。這使得閥桿能夠稍微膨脹，不會卡住或損壞閥門，也不會影響關(guān)閉效果。
After closing a gate valve with sufficient force to develop shutoff, the stem should be backed off slightly (1/8 to 1/4 turn) to relieve stem load. This will enable the stem to expand slightly without binding or damaging the valve and will not affect shutoff.

6. 如果拆卸掉閥座環(huán)安裝耳柄，則高度整體性關(guān)閉閘閥可以用在熱水出口或采用軟鐵的管道系統(tǒng)中。在訂購時請加以指定說明。

7. 泵站使用不受場地限制、水中雜物較多、易堵塞重要位置的閥門，可采用手電兩用閘閥；反之可采用蝶閥，尤其用在泵房改造工程中可采用蝶閥，以便有效利用原有泵房的空間，達到在原泵房面積不變的前提下提高供(排)水量的目的。
